The City of St. John's is seeking proposals from Group Insurance Providers. The City of St. John's municipality is the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador and has approximately 1,084 employees and has approximately 785 retirees participating in the Group Insurance Program. The Basic Life, Optional Life, Dependent Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance benefits have been underwritten by Desjardins Insurance for over 35 years (the Health and Dental Insurance has been underwritten by Desjardins for over 15 years). The Basic and Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment benefits are underwritten by Beneva. Coverage is currently outlined under the Summary of Existing Benefits Section. |
